Set Man Treasure House of God Pastor,
Oluseye Sefunye has commiserated with the family of late
elder statesman,
Professor Adebayo Adedeji, who died at the age of 87.
Senfuye who said the death of the
Professor was a shock to him, described the late scholar as a distinguished
intellectual and renowned economist whose footprints were indelible and
applauded worldwide having served Nigeria, Africa and the international
community in different capacities for many years.
The man of God said the late
Professor was “a very strong force in international economics and well
respected globally for his unique initiatives and exemplary developmental
strategies and diplomacy notable among which was the establishment of the
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and the Economic Community for West African
States (ECOWAS) in Nigeria’s post civil war era.”
He added “His valuable contributions
to national, sub-regional, continental and international development will be
greatly missed”.
“He was one of the finest and
illustrious Ijebu sons whose demise ended another glorious chapter and created
a deep void in world economic and political history”.
